Commentary:
Karl B: I thought this was a well-done episode. Ioki is somewhat helpless in this episode because of the girl (Joy Prentiss). The father was psychotic, too; he went around and wanted to beat down whomever had sex with his daughter, and it was, in fact, her teacher, Mr. Sales. Meanwhile, Fuller went onto a talk show (The Barry Prince Show) regarding the Jump Street program, and the issue of Ioki being fingered for having sex with a girl came up (when Joy's father called up the show). Fuller has Hoffs and Penhall look around to see what's going on and they track the girl going to her teacher, Mr. Sales' house. Joy went into her house (at this point, Penhall and Hoffs are in Hoffs' car staking out his house). It is Hoffs that consoles and talks to Joy and tells her what the right thing is to do. Later, Hanson and Fuller go to Mr. Sales' home Sales, at the time, was with another pupil). Sales denied it, but then he went into detail saying that he did have sex with her. Sales, however, admitted that he didn't rape her, but she consented. It is at the end of the episode when Joy's psychotic father goes to Joy's school to hunt down Sales, and when he did, he beat an apology out of Sales. It was funny because Ioki allowed Sales to get beaten up until he agreed to confess to the rape of Joy Prentiss.
