Things To Note: Clip show featuring previous episodes. Robbie Fields did the music for "Mean Streets and Pastel Houses," one of the episodes that was excerpted here, and he says, "I was home one Sunday night watching my fave show with my then wife Anya and remarked to her, "I can't understand how they can do a clip show and not use one of Johnny as Sid". 5 minutes later, all hell broke loose, as I started jumping up and down shouting, "Anya, they're using my music, they're using my music!". As soon as there was a commercial break, I rushed upstairs to my home office and found the licensing agreement for "Mean Streets ...". Yes! The producers were only able to use the music licensed in one episode. The next morning I called Michael Babcock at Cannell and he was _so_ sorry about the snafu; he said he had warned the producers ... it was settled amicably: I received a crew jacket (it looks like a letterman jacket) and Michael promised he would license music for another episode (Shirts and Skins). I was a pig in clover!

Commentary:
Cyndi Glass: Great show - I love the old clips and humor! I especially love the collection of funny outtakes at the end. I find it significant that Peter DeLuise directed this episode - taking it beyond the normal formula and injecting a lot of comedy (a much needed thing considering the atmosphere of the next episode). I can see Ioki as a martial arts instructor, and Hoffs as a Senator, and Penhall as a human rights activist, but I can’t see Hanson staying on the force for the next 40 years! It almost seems like a slap in Depp’s face, or it would have been, if it was credible at all. No way!
