Dennis Booker
Joining the Jump Street Unit at the beginning of Season 3, Booker is somewhat of an enigma. He immediately shakes up things at the Jump Street Chapel, due to his originally being an I.A.D. plant. Soon, he decides to join the squad for real, though he has a hard time fitting in with the close-knit group. Booker manages to look like a model and a hood at the same time, with his jeans and black leather jackets, and he's an excellent cop. Violently anti-authority and following his own unique brand of police work, Booker doesn’t make friends easily, and his slow burning temper and thoughtless (sometimes racist or sexist) remarks only make things worse.
Still, he is fearless and believes in the work, living by a "whatever works" policy that doesn’t always pass muster with his new co-workers, especially Hanson. He is shown as a womanizer who doesn't like emotional intimacy as well as an aggressive fighter for what he believes in. His best moment was probably when he argued with Ioki about the necessity of the police strike (#43 "Blu Flu) and kept the strikers motivated. Booker meets girls whose names we never know, takes Hanson to a strip club, and keeps his macho mentality even when the rest of the group is sharing stories about their childhood bully experiences (#46 "Woolly Bullies"). As the season goes on, Booker learns how to treat people with more respect while still maintaining their respect for him. When he sees the consequences of real hardcore racism, he changes his ways and realizes that even casual racist remarks can be hurtful. Finally, at the end of Season 3, things explode when Ioki is shot and Hanson becomes a fugitive. In Hanson's absence, Booker and Penhall clash, and then Booker ends up arresting Hanson when he finds him. When Hanson is sent to prison, no one wants to talk to Booker, and Penhall despises him. At the beginning of Season 4, Booker figures out that he was wrong and works harder at clearing Hanson than he has ever worked in his life, after which he quits the police force to become a private investigator. Later in the season, he returns and asks for help bringing down the man behind the entire mess.
Richard Grieco
Richard Grieco has worked steadily ever since Jump Street, playing major leading roles in movies and TV movies at the rate of 5-6 projects a year. He has done voice work for "Incredible Hulk" and "Gargoyles," and has guested on several shows (before and after 21JS), including "Who's The Boss" and "One Life To Live." I recommend "If Looks Could Kill," "Sin & Redemption," "Suspicious Agenda," "Circuit Breaker" and "Tomcat" to anyone who likes Richard - they are all excellent movies in which he is the male lead. Another movie that he has a co-starring role in is "The Demolitionist." The TV series "Booker" was created for him to star in, with 22 episodes in the 1989/90 season on Fox. He also starred in the 13-episode series "Marker" on UPN in 1995. In 1994, he released a CD called "Waiting For The Sky To Fall." He is currently dating actress Yasmine Bleeth. Richard has been filming lots of movies - keep checking his official page for the latest info.
